Friends of Erwood Station is a not for profit organisation set up to help ‘Maintain, Restore and Enhance’ this once busy station; concentrating on railway memorabilia, GWR carriages, locomotive, signal box and the crane. There are many more exciting projects to follow.
There is a green gym, for anyone who wants to keep off the pounds or create better 'cardio', or just meet some nice people and have fun. Please contact us. Our new chairman has an Environmental Degree; there will no doubt be issues arising to cut the carbon footprint of the craft centre and educate others about their environment.
To become a ‘Friend of Erwood Station’, (you do not have to become a friend to volunteer) receive newsletters and be invited to offer your opinions or volunteer your time, please enclose a cheque for £10.00, or next time you’re at the craft centre pay with cash, providing all your details and how involved you wish to be.
This ensures the historical upkeep of the station for future generations and you will be the first to know about any exciting changes and activities.
Cheques payable to
Michael Cunningham
£10.00 for Single, £15.00 for Household,
£20.00 for Overseas, £30.00 for Group.
Do you wish to volunteer?
Your support is greatly appreciated. Please inform us of the skills you can help us with i.e. computer skills, painting, carpentry, environmental knowledge, voluntary work, walk leader etc.
Friends of Erwood Station raise money locally, through donations, raffles and joining fees. All money goes towards buying consumables for projects - paint, brushes, sand paper. No money is paid to management etc, F.O.E.S. are run voluntarily for the local community and historic restoration of the station.
Volunteering ensures that only specialist help is paid for; in return for a good day's work, fun team building experience, and to be able to say, ‘I did that’, oh and of course free tea and coffee and cake throughout the day.
